Introducing Cody Noriega

 Cody graduated with his Master's Degree in Music Performance from California State University, Fullerton studying with the prominent guitarist and composer, Andrew York. He recently received first place at the Pacific Guitar Festival Competition. Cody graduated from Pepperdine University majoring in Music where he studied with the world renowned, classical guitarist, Christopher Parkening. In 2019 Cody was selected as one of fifteen competitors worldwide to compete in the Parkening International Guitar Competition the preeminent classical guitar competition of the world. He currently serves as an adjunct professor of guitar at Riverside City College and California Baptist University. In addition, he teaches beginner and intermediate guitar ensemble classes with Inland Empire Musical Arts and also teaches privately. In the summer of 2017 he participated in the Pepperdine Heidelberg Music Summer Program, a study abroad program in which students perform chamber music across Germany and Austria. Cody is a two-time winner of the President’s Honor Recital at Riverside City College. In 2013 he toured internationally with the Empyre Chamber Ensemble in Mexico City. Born and raised in California, he enjoys surfing and hiking in the outdoors.
